Veganism and health

About the section

Health is a very important factor to take into account when trying to change your way of living. May it be about your diet, or about other things you buy, one must make sure to not harm their own body while doing it.

However, many of us feel very confused about what we should eat or not eat, drink or not drink, buy or not buy in an age where the medias tend to send us very contradicting messages about what we do. Are fruits good for my health, or full of pesticides ? Should I drink water with lots of minerals in it, or not many ? Is eating meat good or bad for me ? And so on, and so on.

Yet, there is often a reality hidden behind the spectacular tittles of our favorite websites : the wonderful, and terribly complex world of scientific articles. In this world, different types of experiments and synthesis correspond to different level of “proof” as to the effect of different factors or products on our health.

We will thus try to help you navigate in what science has to currently offer on the subject of a vegan way of life. Despite the inherent complexity of the subject, you might discover that it is possible to take into account even conflicting results in science articles to get an idea of what is going on, and what should – or should not be done in order to preserve your health.
